Arts Cafe Poetry Night at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center in Newport News adjacent to the Mariners' Museum     596-8175

Meeting the 2nd Thursday monthly from 5:30-8 p.m. Sign-up upon arrival, first-come-first-on.   Arrive early and get a good spot. Poetry is performed during half-hour breaks between half-hour music sets. Depending on the size of the sign-up list, each poet will be able to read 2 short or 1 longer poem(s).  At the end of the last reading, a judge will recognize 3 of the poets.

Directions It's easy to get to if you can find the Mariners' Museum.  As you drive down the Avenue of the Arts and approach the MM right in front of you, turn right to enter the parking just up and to the right of the museum.
