279 E Main St Matthews, VA take US Rte 17 up from York and Gloucester Counties to the center of Gloucester and split off onto State Rte 14 (Clayton Memorial Hwy).  It starts out generally leading north, then twists and squirms, bending east until shortly before you get to

Matthews where it wriggles back around to the south.  As you pass the high school, SLOW DOWN - you're almost there.  Start looking for the Bay School of the Arts now.  Once you arrive in Matthews proper, stop and look around for it.  Then enjoy.
