CNU Writers' Council Readings
Bi-monthly 3rd Friday readings are held in the Library Services Building (the old Student Center) in the "Old Board Room" from 7-8:30 p.m.   Next scheduled are on January 19, 2007 and March 16, 2007.  Although most readings are poetry, short fiction and non-fiction is appropriate and well received.  To sign up to read, call the CNU LifeLong Learning Society at 757-594-7568.
Access to the elevator or stairs to the second floor are right of thi photo; the Old Board Room is around the corner from the elvator - sort of behind the elevator.

The building istself is right next to the big new 3-story Student Center.  From the Ferguson Center for the Performing Arts parking lot, face the new Library (still under construction?); go left past the Library.  The next (large) building is the new Student Center.  The 2-story Library Services end of the building we're interested in at this point is the next building.  On your left is a small (permit-only) parking lot, and on the right you can't miss the blue umbrellas (unless they take 'em down for the winter) in front of the old Student Center [hmmm, does that mean the Center for Old Students, or just that the big one, being new, has taken over its function?].  Anyway, here are a few photos from a recent reading:
