2010 Woman Poetry Project

First off, this is a call for everyone to write poems on the theme of women at the

 rate of (you pick) a poem daily, a poem each week, a poem each month. Let us all

 begin thinking about and writing poems about Woman, all aspects: who is She...the

 goddess...mother... daughter... sister... wife... lover... witch... boss... worker...

 care-taker... care-giver... angel... demon... saint... nurse... librarian... teacher...

 waitress...laundress...soldier...cop...siren... victim... victor... vixen... crone...

 grandmother... eternal... temporal... Eve... rib... trollop... savior... source. Add your

 own words and perspectives. Then write poems on woman. Collect them.

As this thing moves forward, you will have a collection of a few or many poems on

 Woman, and Virginia will never be the same. Be moved. Write of Woman. Do it

 often. And to encourage you, I have now posted a blogsite at

 complements of Google. Send 'em to me and I'll post 'em until I get so overwhelmed with submissions I am forced to selectively post.

Don’t lose heart if I don’t post your submission within a day or two; I may receive several in a day and initially am posting one new one daily; as I get more (up to a manageable limit) I’ll likely post multiple submissions on any given day. The blog is up and growing. Now let's fill that puppy up with a flood of poems on Woman, like a flood of petals from every flower in the Universe.
